At the beginning of this month we met with Carley and Wes to shoot their engagement session. Former clients Kishelle and Christian had sent them to us and we were all eager to work together. We arranged to meet out at Alki Beach and then work across West Seattle as the afternoon sun settled.
Wes & Carley met through a group of mutual friends called the Cafe Hawaii Crew. This is also where they met Kishelle. After hearing repeatedly that she and Wes should meet, Carley went over and said hello and love took over from there.
On the way to West Seattle we stopped at our favorite little park by the water. The stone steps and splashing water made the shots fun and kept the couple on their toes.
We made a short stop at Cupcake Royal to grab a snack and the friendly staff let us take a few shots as they prepared to close the store.
The sun was beginning to set so we walked down the street to an empty spot to catch the beautiful light before it disappeared.
Wes and Carley have been together since 2007 and along with their two dogs and cat are ready to start an official family soon.
It was a very fun afternoon and Carley and Wes were wonderful company. We look forward to their wedding later this summer and the chance to photograph their extended family. Thank you Carley and Wes for the great day.
